“The Chevrolet Trailblazer has been a staple of the US market for many years. Last year it finally made its way to our shores and, in December, I got to spend my summer holidays behind the wheel of the top of the range V6 petrol model.
Granted, I had kind of been hoping to get my hands on the 2.8 diesel in order to mitigate some of the hefty fuel consumption associated with big SUVs. However, the 3.6-litre V6 petrol didn’t perform too badly, returning figures in the region of 15 litres/100km in the sleepy, slow moving traffic of Port Elizabeth.
And there’s a reason why I say this isn’t bad. It’s also the first thing you notice about the Chevrolet Trailblazer. It’s big. It’s very big.”
