The begining

Michael van Rooyen
At the end of 2010 Michael van Rooyen approached Williams Hunt to see if we would be interested in getting involved in a Bridgestone Production Opel Astra OPC. Michael was looking at racing in the up coming 2011 production car series. Williams Hunt agreed to be one of the sponsors to back Michael and we are very proud to have Opel back racing in the Bridgestone production car series.

The start - Opel Astra OPC Michael and his crew spent December 2010 / January 2011 working over time to get the car ready for the first race on the 5 March 2011 at Kyalami, Johannesburg.

By February 2011 the team had finished the build and now the testing started, as with all racing cars there is an enormous amount of testing and changes, continually looking for small ways to improve the vehicle. The team were very impressed with the Opel build and engine reliability.
